On March 2nd James’ wife R-Leigh and daughter Sydney were in a car accident with an 18 wheeler. James spent days and nights going back and forth between the two hospitals that his wife and daughter were being treated at. Initially, even though the injuries were severe it looked as though both would pull through however, R-Leigh was not able to overcome here injuries. R-Leigh was an amazing mother and loved her daughter dearly. R-Leigh, being the selfless person she was had elected to be an organ donor and it is this families hope that her gift of life will bring joy to other families in need of transplants. Sydney, along with other injuries suffered multiple fractures to her face and has spent most of her time in the hospital sedated to allow her body to heal while the swelling goes down. Both James and Sydney need our prayers and support as Sydney continues to recover and they both adjust to life without their precious R-Leigh. Update from James: 3/12/22

Sydney had a pretty good day today, she had a couple visits from the physical therapist and they said she is doing good on range of motion already! She woke up completely after they cleared her to take off the c collar. She could see out of both her eyes, she can still read and remember colors, and she could see me and recognized me so thank God for that!! She is still intubated but we are still taking it a day at a time for right now, she was pretty cheerful with all things considered, the nurses that she had today introduced themselves and Sydney would wave at them when she would open her eyes to see them. Thank y’all for the prayers, texts, and calls checking on her I appreciate it more than you’ll know. Please keep the prayers going up, God is listening and I’m witnessing his work first hand!
