Hi everyone, I’m not really one to post about my personal life in this way but I am in such a pickle. About almost a year ago I moved to Aberystwyth in Wales to study for a film degree. Since moving I have fallen in love with this little town and University as well as the people here so so much. I have worked really hard to get here and to stay here whether that’s going above in my lectures, projects, multiple jobs, or even on myself to become a better version of me. Through all of the ups and downs I have finally found a place where I feel I can authentically be myself. Where I have truly been happy.

However due to things out of my control I lost my funding for tuition and with even what I would get from US Financial aid, the university, and as well as my savings I will not have enough to cover the left over amount and have exhausted all my options. Though having tried I am sadly not being approved for loans through the company my University accepts. My leftover after all I can come up with comes out to be about $15,000 usd/ £11,107 gbp. I as well have looked for cheaper accommodation but my options were limited to begin with and at this point in the year it was recommended for me to stay for financial and support reasons.

I am not one to ask for help like this especially from strangers but I am very scared that I will have to come home and lose the things that are most dearest to me. But this would give me enough time to figure out what to do for my last bit of Uni. or a general solid plan b to stay here in the country. If anyone can help no matter how small would mean so much to me. I came all this way, worked so hard and gave up so much to better my future not only for myself but for my family. I feel as though a part of the community through being Social Director in my society (ASS) and through working in the local Arts Centre. It’s too early to give up yet and I want to keep fighting for it. No matter the outcome I will always be so thankful for the time I have spent here and the people I have grown to love so deeply.
