Our sweet boy Tucker needs help ASAP!

Tucker is thought to have been a stray and Has been blind his entire life. To say he’s faced some challenges is an understatement. Our poor boy has been on drops multiple times a day to maintain his eye disease and comfort level since being brought into the rescue.

Last week Tucker started squinting heavily and showing signs of discomfort along with some gross eye discharge. We promptly rushed him to the emergency vet. He’s been on some great meds for a little while. We were asked to bring him into the  Ophthalmologist to check his progress. We did not receive good news. Tucker has developed what is called a “boxer ulcer” he’s been on the best meds and highest doses with no response. His eye pressure is out of control, he needs help now. The vet has recommended complete eye removal to get him comfortable because there isn’t anything else they can do to help his eyes at this point and he’s in pain.  The vet has quoted anywhere from $3300-$4500 for the surgery which we are looking to schedule as soon as possible to get this guy back up and feeling like himself  

We knew this day would come eventually down the line but not 4 months into having our sweet boy. We just want him to be comfortable. Anyone who’s met him knows just how sweet and gentle he is. He’s my kids best friend, our cuddly house hippo and the biggest baby
