Help Sweet Shiloh Walk Again – Emergency IVDD Surgery

We need your help for Maddies beautiful dachshund, Shiloh.

On the 1st of January, Shiloh suddenly lost the ability to walk. Maddie rushed her to the vet and she has been diagnosed with Stage 4 IVDD (Intervertebral Disc Disease). She is now paralysed in her back legs and in a lot of pain.

We have been told that for the best chance of recovery, surgery needs to happen within the first few days of diagnosis.

The cost of surgery is approximately $12,000, not including medication, scans and rehabilitation. (This is not covered by her pet insurance. )

and unfortunately is far beyond what Maddie can afford on her own. We need your help.

Shiloh is the love of her life. She is gentle, loving, cheeky and trusting — and she still has so much life and spirit in her. We want to give her the chance to live without pain and, hopefully, to walk again.

The specialists explained:

Without timely surgery her chances of walking again drop dramatically

If conservative treatment fails, ongoing pain may mean letting her go

Recovery will also require physio and follow-up care

Any amount, big or small, will truly help us:

• pay for emergency surgery

• cover her current vet bills and medications

• support rehabilitation/physiotherapy

• provide mobility support if she needs a wheelchair
