Hi, its LickyLeo here and I am requiring your help to support my good furiend Rubi.

@rubi_the_shih_tzu is a very cute girl who is popular on Instagram, her mum is also the most kind and thoughful human and helps so many others when in need so mum and I have set this up to help them. Rubi and her mum did so much fundraising for me (@Licky_Leo) when I needed my life prolonging cancer surgery so this is the least we can do now that they are needing some love and support.

Rubi has been very sick over the last few days and is in a Specialist Veterinarian Intensive Care Unit up in the North West of England. Rubi's mum is beside herself like any of us are when our furbaby becomes seriously sick. Rubi has an insurance payout of £6,000 however this has already been used up, we all know how expensive it is nowadays to receive basic care at the local vets and Specialist Care is extortionate.

Today (12th June 2025), Rubi had an ECHO and a CT Scan, the Specialists now have several diagnosois which will help going forward with Rubi's care. The CT showed that Rubi has Aspiration Pneumonia, as well as Tracheomalacia and Chronic Kidney Disease. There are some other diagnosis too but these are the ones being actively treated especially the pneumonia. Rubi is currently in an oxygen chamber and will be there all night, she is also having IV antibiotics to get the aspiration pneumonia infection under control. We will give more details as we get them and keep you all updated the best we can.

We are aware of the fact that little Rubi is no spring chicken but we really want to help get her well enough to go home to her mum and have some quality time feeling loved around her family and friends if her future is limited. We would love your help to give Rubi and her mum as much precious time together as they can and of course help with those bills that stack up when a furbaby is needing such specialist care.
