The saga of Jo's prolonged courtship with her beloved T100, her journey to the misty land of many ports,  the honeymoon cut short when disaster struck,  the betrayal at the hands of the dread pirate Steve and his foul Sons,  the grueling return to the home of mayonnaise and one particularly enormous cat, is a tragedy to rival the greatest epics of our time. 

The gruesome details can be told elsewhere, but for now, the humans who love Jo have taken it upon themselves to see a beautiful ending to this story. The beloved T100 lies wounded in a distant land,  tended by the people of mayonnaise and the immense feline.  In order to restore the truck to health and fitness and bring peace and abundance to the land, a significant sum of money must be raised.

In short, the truck needs a new engine, and parts + labor are currently estimated at $4800.

For those who are desirous of said "gruesome details," the head gasket cracked within an hour of our roadtrip back home, about the most disastrous thing that can happen to an engine. We have spent an enormous amount of time and effort trying to remedy this situation - attempting to get the car dealership to take some accountability for this, as well as  trying  to negotiate a warranty on work done to the head gaskets, but these paths have led only to disappointment and frustration.

Due to the fact that the truck itself is in excellent condition, it seems worthwhile to replace the engine and drive it until Jesus comes back or civilization collapses, whichever comes first. Unfortunately, Jo was born on the losing side of the class war and has already spent an incredible amount of money on the truck , and simply cannot afford the cost of the engine replacement. Thankfully for Jo, there is a community of folks who love her and are willing to help her out of this conundrum.
