Help sweet Casey

Dear family and friends,

Sweet Casey is celebrating his 4th birthday today in the hospital.

On November 19th, Casey’s moms, Mel and Cait had to rush him to the vet where he had to undergo emergency surgery. After a few days of not seeming 100% himself, which later turned into frequent throwing up and having little to no energy to move, they knew they had to bring him in.

Once arriving at the vet and having X-rays taken, the vet noticed an obstruction in his abdomen. At this point, surgery was a must for poor Casey to survive. Without hesitation and the love for their boy, Mel and Cait said yes for Casey to undergo surgery.

During the surgery, they came to learn that it was much more severe than they had thought. Casey’s intestines were extremely swollen, twisted and had something wrapped around them. He was unable to digest food and was very dehydrated.

The surgery went well; the vet was able to remove the obstruction. Casey is expected to make a full recovery however, it will be a long road.

Casey has brought immeasurable joy to Mel and Cait’s life and now this sweet boy needs our help.

As you can all imagine, the vet bill that Mel and Cait are facing is already astronomical and continues to rise. The vet has quoted up to $12,000 once everything is said and done with poor Casey. This is a tremendous financial burden; Mel and Cait deserve our support to help bring Casey home happy and healthy.
