My sweet baby Booya went into emergency abdominal surgery early this morning to remove a blockage in her intestines that is trapping lead in her stomach. The surgery should be pretty straight forward, and I should have her back in my arms tonight or early tomorrow morning, however, recovery looks to be long and painful. I hate to ask for this kind of help, however, I'm pretty much at a loss for how to pay for this surgery, and recovery medical bills. I have already spent $600 on her this week, and the surgery is estimated at being between $2300-$3000. As most of you know I am in an intense Nursing Program, so I am not working fulltime, and I do not have much of a savings to work with here. Also, as life would have it my car needs brakes ASAP, so I am incredibly strapped for cash. Literally any small amount of money you have to donate to us would be appreciated. The vet (Troy Vet Hospital) is being generous enough to work with me on a payment plan, so I do have some time to figure the full payment out. Booya and I hate that we are in this situation and needing to crowdsource funds, but I don't really have much choice here. I appreciate every cent anyone can spare- I know funds are tight for everyone. I will send a cute little postcard out of Booya's adorable, healthy face to everyone who donated if you'd like. I can't thank everyone enough for all the support and love we've already received, it certainly is helping me feel less stressed. Thank you, thank you, thank you! This dog really means the world to me!
