Help sweet Alexis’s Family
Donation protected
With the permission of Alexis’s mom Kaci, I have created this gofundme to help them during this difficult time. Last night their sweet little girl had
some tests ran and they found a mass on her left kidney, nodule on her left lung and she has a swollen lymph node right next to her aortic valve. They’re at Levines Children Hospital in Charlotte waiting for more answers and what the next steps are. Alexis is the sweet little girl.
If you can’t donate, please keep their precious little girl and her family in your prayers.
All of these funds will be going directly to Kaci. This will help them as their lives still go on and so do bills. This will help them have gas money and food as well.
Update: April 15th evening
This is the plan we currently have set in place for Alexis.
She will be having surgery Friday. They cannot biopsy the tumor she has due to the type of cancer it is. It would only cause it to spread more. They will be taking out the tumor on her left kidney along with her kidney as well. They will be removing the nodule from her lung, and checking the enflamed lymph node right next to her aortic valve. A port will be placed in her chest for her to receive chemo and radiation.
This has been a lot of information to receive in 24 hours and the shock is still very much there.
We cannot begin to express our gratitude towards everyone. We are beyond blessed and grateful for every single one of you.
Please keep the prayers coming.
Update: April 16th
Alexis had a bunch of tests done yesterday including another CT scan with contrast…
It was not the results we were hoping for. They found another nodule on her lung so she has two nodules on her lung and it has also spread to her lymph nodes which is not good.
She will have to have very strong chemo and radiation and it’s going to take a huge toll on her little body.
The plan is still the same so she will still be having surgery first thing Friday morning which will be 3-5 hours long.
Update: Friday
Lexi is out of surgery. No major complications. Everything went as planned.
They were able to remove the kidney, the mass on the kidney, and they found a nodule on her lymph node that they were able to remove and flushed the rest of her lymph nodes out. The intital pathology report did confirm that it is Wilms Tumor as suspected.
Praise God thank you Jesus for watching over my babygirl and our first hurdle is over. She is in recovery and we should be able to go back and see her in about 20 minutes.
