Help Swayze Run Again – Support His Double ACL Surgery
Hi everyone,
My name is Montelleo, and I’m reaching out with a hopeful heart to ask for your support for my sweet pup, Swayze. He’s more than just a dog – he’s been my rock, my constant companion, and my emotional support through some of the toughest chapters of my life.
Swayze came into my life when he was just 6 months old, and we’ve been inseparable ever since. Together, we’ve moved across the country – from Mississippi to Utah, and now to our home in Colorado. No matter where life has taken me, Swayze has been there, providing love, comfort, and so much dog hair!
Over the years, he’s helped me cope with the loss of close family members, and he’s been by my side through challenging times, including workplace trauma that deeply affected my mental health. In fact, with the help of my therapist, I had Swayze officially registered as an Emotional Support Animal because of the tremendous support he provides every day.
Recently, Swayze was diagnosed with bilateral ACL tears, meaning he needs surgery on both of his hind knees. The cost for the double ACL repair is estimated between $7,728 and $7,758. Alternatively, if only the right ACL is repaired first, the cost will be between $4,500 and $5,000 – but that would only be a temporary solution, and he’d still need a second surgery later.
The surgery is scheduled for September 16, 2025, and while I’ve been saving diligently, I’m genuinely concerned that I won’t be able to raise the full amount in time.
Swayze has given me so much – unconditional love, emotional support, and a reason to smile during some of the darkest moments in my life. Now, I want to do everything I can to return the favor and give him the pain-free, active life he deserves.
If you’re able to contribute, no matter how small, it would mean the world to both of us. If you can’t donate, sharing this page with others would also be an incredible help.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for reading, sharing, and supporting. Let’s help Swayze get back on his paws – literally.
With love and gratitude,
Montelleo & Swayze
