Fundraiser for My Personal Medical Treatment After a Severe Accident
My name is Sviatoslav. I came to the U.S. to work and build a safe future for my family. After obtaining my Commercial Driver’s License (CDL), I began working as a truck driver.
On January 15th, I was involved in a terrible accident in Wisconsin due to sudden brake failure on the truck. The police did not take this mechanical issue into account, and no proper investigation was conducted. I was lucky to survive, but I sustained 10 fractures, including a severe elbow fracture that required a metal plate. My arm is almost non-functional and needs long-term rehabilitation. I also suffered fractures to my chest, collarbone, seven ribs, and a finger. The finger already has a metal plate, but it does not bend — another surgery is needed to restore flexibility.
Due to misclassification by my employer, the insurance company is refusing to cover any medical expenses. I have been left without a job, income, or means to pay for housing or treatment. I am still repaying the loan for the same truck. The bank granted me a three-month deferment, but payments are now due again while I am still physically unable to work.
This fundraiser is solely for my personal needs: medical treatment, rehabilitation, surgeries, and basic living expenses.
I am not collecting or distributing money to anyone else or any organization — all funds will go directly toward my recovery. Your support will bring me closer to full recovery and give me a chance to return to work and reunite with my family.
Thank you sincerely for your support!
