Help Sveta Grow Her Bread Business
Donation protected
I set up this GoFundMe account for the remarkable fashion designer Sveta Kazakova who for the last 20 years has been the owner of the wonderful Pip-Squeak Chapeau label.
Her shop in Brooklyn was a shopping destination for New Yorkers, out-of-towners and discerning shoppers from around the world.
I’m not going to list the difficulties of running a small business single-handedly in today’s climate. You need only to look at your own high street and see who is no longer there.
But Sveta, a lone mother who is still raising her boys, has found another outlet for her creative business spirit. She has become an amazing baker of bread. See for yourself on Instagram! https://www.instagram.com/breakingbreadcallicoon/
Her orders are increasing weekly. Meanwhile she has a licence that allows her to prepare food at home, where she bakes in a domestic oven, round the clock, two loaves at a time. To meet her insurance conditions she cannot have an industrial oven. BUT there is an oven that can be installed in her home. The cost of this oven is $12,000. She also needs a second-hand fridge and a second-hand dough mixer.
In all, $15,000 should do it.
This resilient and talented woman needs your support. Let’s see if we can raise this sum so she can elevate her business into a lasting, successful enterprise.
Come break bread with Sveta!
Love
