Sven hikes the PCT:Raise awareness for Parkinson's
Donation protected
Hello everyone, I was diagnosed with Parkinson's 2 years ago and now it's my dream to hike the Pacific Crest Trail which runs from the border of California/Mexico to the border of Washington/Canada. While hiking the trail I'll be Raising $35,000 towards three Parkinson's causes. The 2,650 mile journey begins May 23rd 2022 and it should take anywhere from 4-6 months to complete.
I'm fundraising $50,000 for
- $15,000 food, travel, equipment, prep and lodging on the trail. (Click here for budget)
- $35,000 donating to: Pass to Pass, Global Hikes , https://www.michaeljfox.org/ https://www.rocksteadyboxing.org/ https://www.parkinson.org/

You can follow along while I "vlog" the preparation and my time on the trail in hopes to entertain, educate or inspire like so many have done for me. https://youtube.com/channel/UCxIj3p34q7T-bejzwjIWrUA" href="https://https//youtube.com/channel/UCxIj3p34q7T-bejzwjIWrUA">YouTube, https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100075359621106" href="https://https//www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100075359621106">Facebook, https://www.instagram.com/thesvenanderson/" href="https://https//www.instagram.com/thesvenanderson/">Instagram
For those of you who don't know, following my diagnosis, it felt as if the rug was pulled in out from under me. I went on medical leave at work & Covid quickly followed. During that time I fell in love with the outdoors all over again. I started hiking and it quickly became my refuge and inspiration. I was unsure of what the future held for me but when I ran across information on the PCT I knew it was something I had to do. Just starting this adventure has been a huge blessing in my life and I'm filled with hope and gratitude for what's to come.
