As many of you have heard, on Friday night, July 3, Suzy lost her condo and nearly everything she owned in a devastating fire. Thankfully, everyone, including all people and pets in the two affected buildings, made it out safely, and Suzy is now staying with family as she begins to rebuild. We are incredibly grateful to the firefighters and first responders for taking such great care of Suzy and the other families that night.

If you've spent any time on Capitol Hill, you know Suzy. For decades, she's been more than a bartender, she's been the heart of the neighborhood. From Lil Pub to Capitol Lounge and now Union Pub, she's celebrated with us, talked us through heartbreaks and hangovers, and welcomed everyone with her signature sass, kindness, and ability to make anyone feel like a regular.

Now it's our turn to be there for her.
