Hi everyone,

My name is Danielle and I'm reaching out for support for my beloved cat, Suzu. She's approximately 17 years old and has been a part of my life for about 16 years—more than half my lifetime. Suzu is a shy but sweet soul who opens up once she trusts you, and she’s been my constant companion through so much.

Suzu was first diagnosed with diabetes in 2021. After a year of diligent insulin treatment, I was thrilled when she went into remission. Unfortunately, her diabetes returned just a few weeks ago, and it's hitting her harder this time.

In addition to insulin injections and a strict diabetic diet, Suzu also needs regular vet visits to monitor her condition. She already lives with hyperthyroidism and asthma, and managing all of this has become overwhelming both emotionally and financially. I've noticed she’s been hiding more, less eager to cuddle, and her back legs show signs of diabetic neuropathy. It breaks my heart to see her like this.

As someone currently on disability pay, it’s becoming more and more difficult to keep up with the rising costs of her care. I’m doing everything I can for her, but I need help.

I’ve set a fundraising goal of $2,000, which will go directly toward her veterinary visits, insulin, and specialized diabetic food to help manage her condition and give her the best quality of life possible.
