Our mom, Suzi, is one of the strongest women we know. Over the past 15 years, Mom has traveled through a daunting journey with her left hip — multiple surgeries, infections, and setbacks — and yet she has never stopped fighting and never lost her faith. To us she is Superwoman!

Today, mom underwent her 5th hip replacement surgery, a complex tri-plate rebuild of her pelvis. The recovery ahead will "optimistically" take 6–9 months, with our dad faithfully by her side as her full-time caregiver.

To help paint a picture of her long journey, I’ve created a timeline:
• 2010: First hip replacement
• 2015: 1st revision due to a bone infection from a recalled device; Mom spent 3 years in a brace and endured 5 dislocations
• 2022: Second revision
• 2023: Surgery for another infection
• Jan–Feb 2025: A fractured hip bone and large blood clot that delayed today’s surgery for over 6 months, leaving her to walk with a walker because her joint was no longer attached to her hip
• 2025 (Today): Her 3rd revision on this hip (5th surgery overall), requiring a complete pelvic rebuild — with concerns of infection thankfully being ruled out.

Yet even through all of these disappointing setbacks limiting her mobility, she "showed" up for everything she could in life — especially for our family. So yes!! Wouldn’t you agree?? She’s Superwoman!

Through it all, Mom has remained faithful, strong, and incredibly resilient. Dad has been her constant rock and caregiver, and this next season will require even more of him.

Over these years, they’ve managed to carry the stress and financial burden of these surgeries on their own, but with the sheer number of procedures behind them, the complexity of this rebuild, and the recovery ahead, it’s now a heavier lift.

✨ To join us in support if you are led, there are two ways you can do this:
1. Your prayers — please join us in lifting up our mom, asking for God’s mercy and His healing hands over her, that this surgery will bring complete restoration and total healing. His promise is greater than the pain, and He will bring beauty from the ashes.
2. Financial support — bless them financially to help ease the weight of the out-of-pocket costs and the challenges of her long recovery.

We deeply believe in the power of prayer and community. Knowing that Mom and Dad are surrounded by your love makes this season a bit easier. Every prayer, every kind word, is truly a gift and has made all the difference for her and for them.

On behalf of myself, my dad, and our entire family — we are very grateful for any support given to help.
