We’ve kept a low profile on social media with our health journey over the past few years, but feel prompted to reach out right now.

In early 2022, Suzette was diagnosed with ovarian cancer. She had surgery and then 8 months of chemotherapy. It was a tough year, but at least our insurance covered the expenses.

2023 was a good year with no real hiccups. At the beginning of 2024, there was an unfortunate recurrence of the cancer with several (smaller) tumors.

After another surgery, we were given the normal oncology next step, which was radiation treatments.

After prayerfully considering all our treatment options, we decided to go with an alternative, holistic approach.

We discovered a world-class clinic in Clearwater, Florida called Lifeworks.

So, Suzette has literally been living in Florida for 5 months receiving treatments. The last PET scan taken showed some improvements in her numbers and a decrease in an existing tumor. We are thankful! However, we were encouraged to continue with some of the treatments.

While we feel good about our choice of treatment, none of the cost is covered by insurance. It’s turned into quite a sizable bill.

We’ve never done anything like this before, but we just had the nudge to make it available for any friends that would want to help us out.
