Help Suzanne's Book Come to Life!

Hi, I'm Suzanne!

I have been a writer for many years, but this is my first book .... a travel memoir called Journey Towards Home. My book is about my two-year journey in search of my new home. The journey starts in the Mid-Missouri and continues through Arkansas, Tennessee, the Carolinas and many, many more places along the way. Living in, and out, of my little car was quite an adventure! There were bears, hornets, crocodiles, sketchy characters, amazingly kind people and unbelievable experiences. The story's overarching themes are freedom, home, and belonging.

My goal is to spend the next year finishing the book so you can read it!!!. I am sooo excited for the day when the completed story of my wild adventures, unique challenges, and personal transformation - in my quest for a new home - makes it out into the world and into your home and hands and the home and hands of so many others!

Some of you have been with me from the beginning. Helping me launch in May of 2021, all the way to getting settled into householder lifestyle after my nomadic period. Many of you I met along the way and that is what made the journey all that I could have ever imagined! Then there are those who don't know me yet, but I hope we can connect here and that you will jump on board with this project and provide your support for this next chapter. I climbed many mountains when I was searching for my new home. I have discovered that writing a book is the same as climbing a mountain. It can seem very daunting, it takes time, there is much to learn, you have to be mindful of your steps and you need a good support team. It's important to be intentional, stay focused, have a plan and to go for it! My intention is to focus on finishing Journey Towards Home over the next year, looking at a completion date of May 30, 2026. It is very exciting to have a "due date." (writing a book is like climbing a mountain AND having a baby!) I am looking forward to bringing a new life into the world. And will keep you up to date on her development along the way.

This level of commitment will require a lot of support as I get set up in a new home (due to the end of my current lease) and buckle down on my writing. I set the goal at $8000 so the fundraising amount would feel doable but my needs, over the course of a year and the course of this project, will definitely be higher.
