Help Suzanne Tafur's Fight Against Cancer
Donation protected
As you are all aware, Suzanne is battling cancer, and it has posed a significant hardship for her and her family. Suzanne has Stage IV head and neck cancer that is not responding to standard therapy. The tumor has traveled to her lung and spine, and is causing significant pain. Nevertheless, Suzanne and her family remain optimistic and are doing everything possible to fight this terrible disease.
The Tafurs are blessed with a strong support network and a big family. Between the Pfefferles and the Tafurs, they have been able to care for their two little boys, Santiago (5) and Julian (2). They have enjoyed extra time with grandparents and friends. Meals, house chores, and puppy walks are currently covered.
Suzanne has found a clinical trial for which she qualifies at the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, MD. We are hopeful that the innovative therapy works in controlling the disease's progression. She is excited to be treated and participate in groundbreaking research to benefit future patients with this terrible disease.
The treatment initially entails weekly visits to Bethesda. After things are settled and the treatment is working, the visits will be more spaced out. As you can imagine, this will generate significant travel-related expenses. We believe this is a great opportunity to help them by raising funds to cover flights, hotels, local transportation and other issues related to frequent travelling.
The Tafur family appreciates the overwhelming support they have received throughout this journey. So many people have reached out wanting to help the family. This account was created as a way for friends and family to help. This account is not intended for social media. Please feel free to donate any amount; Suzanne and Jose will appreciate any penny and use it in their fight.
Please continue to pray for them; we are faithful that one day they will be a living testimony of the healing power of God.
