Dear friends in the world,
Today we are writing you asking a favor to consider to support our dearest friend, Suvanna. She was the bridesmaid of our wedding.
Suvanna is facing a huge challenge.
In the middle of October 2018, she discovered that she had a tumor in her brain and it required an immediate surgery to remove a 5cm tumor, which caused her to be paralyzed on the left side of her body. Then, the test result revealed that it was brain cancer which had metastasized from the primary cervical cancer.

(This photo was taken after her surgery.)Her doctor told her that she has to do a series of radiation and chemotherapy treatments. She is scheduled to start radiation therapy on November 19th, 2018. One treatment series of this would cost $3000 and she does not know yet how many series she will have to take.
To over come this health crisis, she needs support from her family, friends and even more.
Let us share a bit about her.
Suvanna is originally from Thailand. She moved to USA to live with her American husband. Ran (Japanese) met her in a language school in San Francisco in 2001. She was always positive, hard working, strong and very kind. We all love her.

She moved back to Bangkok with her husband. Unfortunately, they had to separate. This event gave her traumatic experiences for at least a few years. After having many stressful events, she was trying to rebuild her new life, as always she had a positive and strong attitude. Then, this cancer tragedy came in her life. Now, she is very challenged with her financial situation and depending solely on her sister's help. She is sleeping in the backroom of her sister's shop without having professional care for her disabled condition.
We have been in a similar experience for almost 3 years now .... (Ran has been on her own journey of healing Breast Cancer). We know how rough and challenging the road will be that she and her family will have to take. We could not do this by ourselves. Support from friends and families has given us tremendous encouragement to walk every step. We know that we can do this together. We do not have to give up. We can create hope and the future we envision.
She needs financial support for her cancer treatments as well as for a caregiver while she cannot do anything herself right this moment and for the unforeseeable future. We want to make sure to get a caregiver for her, so that she is emotionally and physically supported, and not in a room by herself only with desperation. The estimated costs for a caregiver are around $300 to $500 per month.
In addition to the conventional treatment we are looking into supportive treatments to maximize her healing.
In total we hope to raise a minimum of $15,000 to support her everyday life for the upcoming year.
Please consider to contribute to help her, so that she can heal, cure her cancer and have life with the support that she needs. Any amount and immediate donation would help!!
Also, if you can, please share this link on your Facebook or any place you can on other social media.
We believe in miracles. We believe that cancer is NOT an incurable disease. She is a miracle girl who we always admired and still admire. We know she will make it.
If you have any questions regarding her situation, please reach us out any time.
Much love,
Ran and Wilhelm
