Help Sustain Thirsty For Wonder: A Space for Recovery, Creativity & Sacred Witnessing
Hi, I’m Anne Marie, the founder of Thirsty For Wonder—a sacred, liberatory space for people in recovery to reconnect with their wholeness, reclaim joy, and remember that they are worthy of care.
This work supports people who are saving their own lives. And I get to walk beside them as they do it.
For years now, I’ve been creating brave, non-performative spaces for people navigating sobriety, burnout, grief, spiritual questioning, and the deep longing to live differently. I do this through 1:1 coaching and spiritual companionship, seasonal recovery programs like The Wellspring and The Reservoir, poetry parties, embodiment practices, and community support calls like Rest for Recovery and Wednesday Wonder.
This is slow, heart-led, deeply relational work. It’s the kind of work that doesn’t always fit into systems that value speed, scale, or certainty—but it’s life-saving. And I know it changes people because I hear from them every single week.
Why I’m Asking Now
Thirsty For Wonder was built from a deep knowing that recovery, creativity, and spiritual care deserve spaces that are slow, sacred, and liberatory.
Right now, I’m in a moment of re-anchoring. The foundation of this work is strong—but the financial sustainability is not yet where it needs to be. I'm calling in $10,000 to stabilize the core of Thirsty For Wonder so that it can grow, expand, and continue to serve those who need it most.
I’m calling in $10,000 to support the continued growth and care of this work—not just for today, but for the seasons ahead. This isn’t a stopgap. It’s a declaration:
✨ That slow, soul-centered work deserves to be funded.
✨ That community care is worthy of sustainability.
✨ That healing spaces shouldn’t rely on burnout to survive.
This support will help me:
Sustain and expand sliding-scale and free offerings
Deepen development of upcoming programs
Continue holding space through 1:1 work, group calls, and writing
Keep the operations of Thirsty For Wonder rooted in care, not crisis
My own basic needs so I can keep showing up
Why It Matters
I’ve always believed that recovery is not about deprivation—it’s about liberation.
It’s about remembering your worth, reclaiming your voice, and living a life you’d be proud to die of.
And that kind of work needs containers that are well-held. That’s what this GoFundMe supports.
If my work has ever touched you—or if you believe in creating spaces where softness, sobriety, creativity, and spiritual care can live together—this is a moment when your support would mean everything.
Thank you for being here. Thank you for believing in work that doesn’t just help people survive, but helps them return to themselves.
With deep love and gratitude,
Anne Marie
