Ahnii. Boozhoo. Miigwech for taking the time to read our story.

For generations, our ancestors relied on sled dogs as a traditional means of transportation, especially throughout the winter months. These dogs were not simply working animals, they were trusted companions, protectors and an essential part of community life.

Today, I continue that relationship through my sacred sled dog team. They are part of my cultural responsibilities, my land-based teachings and my ongoing work as a Mother Water Walker.

For the past ten years I have carried water in ceremony, walking to honour and protect the waters that sustain all life. My vision is to expand this work by offering workshops and land-based educational programming that reconnect people with the history and significance of Indigenous sled dogs, traditional transportation, water stewardship, and our relationship with the land.

To make this possible, I need help caring for the dogs and maintaining the equipment that keeps them healthy and safe.

Funds raised will help provide:

* Nutritious dog food and supplements
* Veterinary care and vaccinations
* Dog houses, bedding, straw, and shelter improvements
* Safe fencing for the dogs
* Harnesses, ganglines, tug lines and other equipment
* Repairs and restoration of traditional sleighs and transport equipment
* Training and conditioning supplies
* Fuel and transportation costs for educational events and demonstrations
* Materials for community workshops and youth programming

Every contribution helps preserve knowledge that has been passed down through generations. Your support is not simply helping feed dogs, it is helping sustain a living cultural practice rooted in respect, responsibility and care for the land and water.

My goal is to create opportunities for youth, families, schools and communities to experience these teachings firsthand while ensuring the dogs receive the highest standard of care.

Whether you are able to donate or simply share this campaign, your support means the world to us.

Together we can help protect Indigenous knowledge, honour our relationship with Water and ensure these sacred dogs continue their important role for future generations.

Chi-miigwech for walking alongside us.
