Update (as of 08/10/2021): Our household now has until November 1st to find somewhere to live. We feel that our ask is still urgent, especially considering my the current state of a lot of member’s mental and physical health thus lack of earned income and our expenses continuing to our way this income. A household of 4 Black, queer and disabled young folks and their pets are in need of financial assistance for our September move. We are navigating lots of hardship so your donations will really make an impact and help to alleviate the stress of moving.
Being multi-marginalized young folks with several animals and low income, securing housing is a tall order, but with community support we know we can achieve our goal!
Funds will cover move-in fees, as well as the cost of a uhaul and movers.
Please donate what you can—any amount helps! And if you’re unable to, sharing around, especially directly to friends and those you know are able to assist, is a great help as well.
