Hi, my name is Mary. I’m doing a GoFund for my sister Susie that was diagnosed with Metastatic Melanoma. She has always went and got checked by her Dermatologist every year. Back in April she went for her yearly checkup and she removed a spot on her shoulder. The biopsy came back Melanoma but her Dermatologist said not to worry that she got it all. In July her neck started hurting, she went to her orthopedic, he took an X-ray and told her she had Degenerative Dic Disease in her C5,6&7 disk. He gave her a script for muscle relaxers and told her to enjoy her vacation ( she and her husband was leaving in a couple of days to go on vacation in Mexico) After a couple of days on vacation she was in terrible pain with her neck. She went to a spine doctor in Mexico, he did a CT scan of her neck, it showed she had a tumor growing between her C2 and C3 disk. They caught the first flight back home.The day they got home her husband took her to Holmes Hospital in Melbourne. Her pain was so bad they admitted her. She has just finished 10 days of radiation. She went to Moffitt last week and she will start immunotherapy November 1, 2021. The pain is so bad she can only get out of bed to shower and use the restroom. Her husband of 31 years took a leave from work to care for her. My sister got 8 weeks of short term medical leave from her job. Middle of November will be her last paycheck. My sister is only 58 years old, she has a heart of gold and would help anyone. She has a 3 year old granddaughter and a second granddaughter due in December. My sister is my best friend, my heart and soul. She has a long road ahead of her to fight this cancer, the last thing I want her to worry about is how they are going to pay bills.
