Help Sushi on His Journey to Healing

Hi friends,

If you know me, you know Sushi - You know us. If you’ve had the pleasure of meeting him, chances are he loves you a lot.

Lately, though, he’s been struggling. He’s lost his appetite and muscle strength, and after two vet visits, it’s clear he needs more care than can be managed on my own. After a rounds of antibiotics, it became clear these were bandaids. His condition has become rather serious— he has dropped weight rapidly, muscle strength, and his overall health has decreased. Recently the vet discovered his stomach is swollen in numerous and discussed the urgency of this matter. The vet thinks he’ll need overnight care with a feeding tube, along with more tests and possibly intensive treatment depending on what is found. As of right now, I am not fully in the dark as the symptoms align with most of these symptoms, however the overall cause has not been diagnosed yet. However, I believe we can not only get that diagnosis, but I have hope Sushi can fully recover as well.

He’s been with me through everything, offering unconditional love and has truly helped me in so many way, and now it’s my turn to help him in any way I can. It breaks my heart to see him struggle like this, everything I can do to get him the care he needs I will.
