Help Sushi Okawa give meals to first responders
Donation protected
Help Sushi Okawa donate delicious, nutritious meals to the local police, fire departments, and healthcare workers.
We are a family owned and operated sushi restaurant that have been in Blossom Hill, San Jose for over 17 years. Sushi Chef Sam is as dedicated to his craft as he is to filling the bellies of his regulars, new faces, and families.
Because of the mandated “shelter-in-home” orders from COVID-19, restaurants are being required to serve take-out or delivery only. Many small family owned restaurants likes ours have been hurt and we’re now struggling to keep our doors open while keeping our employees on a livable payroll.
Many of Sushi Okawa’s hard working staff have been here since the beginning, and in our effort to stay open for business during this crisis, we are asking for donations from our community. Our goal is to continue staffing our kitchen, making delicious food that people love, and helping out the workers that are putting our communities first.
Your donations will help our team make and deliver lunches and dinners to local hospitals, police stations, and fire stations. The funds will also help provide our amazing staff a more livable wage in this time of crisis.
We truly love Sushi Okawa and these past 17 years have brought in many new faces that have turned into lifelong friends. We’re incredibly blessed and honored that it has become a regular spot for many who enjoy our fish, Sam’s company, and the overall family-oriented atmosphere.
Any and all donations are greatly appreciated. Although this is a tough time, now more than ever, it’s beautiful to see people coming together to support their communities and local businesses. We’re in this together, and we’ll get through this together!
