Our dear mother Susan Scott (63 yrs young) wife, mother of 3 sons and grandmother to 9 grandchildren needs some financial help.

Roughly 9 months ago she started having pain down her legs. For the next couple months she continued to work through the pain and numbness as it worsened to the point she couldn't stand on her own. She then went to the hospital as she lost all mobile function from the waist down. The hospital then admitted her and ran many tests like MRIs, CTs and blood work etc. Unfortunately after dozens of tests for first couple months it came to the conclusion that she is battling a rare accute auto ammune disorder with the devasting news of her also having MS. She now has lost most of her strength in he upper body as well and can't sit up or able to adjust her body due to weakness. She has been told she is unlikely to ever walk again. 

She has now been in the hospital for 7 months and waiting for an opening in a nursing home. She is in need of financial help to cover her building hospital bills which are now a couple months behind and soon nursing home costs. Our parents are down to only our fathers one income and things are falling behind quick. We are hoping her stay in a nursing home will only be short lived as she needs more rehabilitation and therapy to improve her condition to the point she's strong enough to come home.

If she gets to the point she's strong enough to come home she will need lots of homecare and assistance. She will also require medical equipment like a special wheel chair, hospital bed, mechanical lift etc. She will also need as much therapy to come in as possible like physiotherapists and PSWs etc.

She has applied for long term disability but with covid and such its hasn't come through yet as it has been extremely delayed with no time table when it will come through or even accepted.

If you could spare anything at all that would be a great help to get her through this rough financial time and help eleviate stress.
