Help Susan with Terminal Cancer live worry free!

I wanted to take the time and start this GoFundMe Page for my friend Amanda’s Mom and her family. What has been going on this past year has really put her mother Susan and her family in a very tough position so I thought this would be a good way to start.

If you have had the pleasure of meeting Susan, then you will know what a truly selfless, loving person she is. She grew up on sailboats with her Dad who was her favorite person in the world. She has always been so fond of being on the water. She’s a very big animal lover and that’s where I think Amanda got that from. She is also a very talented painter and she would say otherwise but don’t believe that, she has a gift!

Susan was diagnosed in April 2023 with terminal cancer...Advanced Urothelial Carcinoma Stage 4. Unfortunately, this is not her first time with stage 4 cancer. In 2007 she was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer with a 3% chance of beating it, 2-3 months without the surgery and 24 months with the surgery but miraculously, she beat it. However, the cancer now has metastasized to her muscles, bones, lymph nodes, ribs, liver and brain. She has had 5 major surgeries including the removal of her kidney and part of her ureter to remove some of the cancer of what could be removed. She also has metal rods in her left leg and left arm which has left her arm with permanent nerve damage and is no longer able to use it while also undergoing chemo and radiation, her cancer is extremely aggressive. Every day, hour and minute is a struggle for her with all the pain she is in.

She is no longer able to take care of herself without around the clock help and care. Susan’s faith and sense of humor is as strong as she is adorable. She is the most genuine, kind & empathetic soul you will ever come across and would give her last dollar to a stranger or some sort of animal rescue if she knew it would help them. The thought of seeing her struggle and her family struggle to help pay and take care of all of this is just too much to bare. Her children, Amanda, Sam and Angela, who with the help of Susan’s close friends are doing everything they can but can only do so much.

The funds raised will be used for help with her co-pays, medications, qualified CNA’s, PT and OT care in her home, small home improvements to help her with getting around as her home is not very well equipped at all to do so as well as her bills that unfortunately do not stop and are piling up.
