Help Susan, Willie and Cootie rebuild their lives!

Donation protected

Susan Williams is the mother of Tammy Garnes Spates, Elaine Witherspoon,  and Jamie Garnes.

On the afternoon of January 16, 2021, our dear, sweet mother, Mr. Willie and Susan Williams and her disabled brother in law, Cootie lost their home to a devastating fire. Susan and Cootie were given mere moments to evacuate their home because their entire house was in flames.

They luckily escaped unscathed with no physical harm and just with the clothes on their backs and shoes on their feet, while the house burned to the ground all around them, consuming everything she owns as this was her home for the last 20+ years.
While Willie was in the hospital with pneumonia in both of his lungs, he feared for the life of his love, and discharged himself to go see about his Susie and brother. Anyone who knows Susie and Willie know they are the most caring, giving, incredible souls who would literally give you the shirt off their backs to anyone who asked.

This is by far one of the hardest life moments they as a unity of love are currently experiencing and the harsh reality is that it’s very tough to ask for help. Let’s return the favor and do whatever we can to help these angels slowly rebuild their life
and everything they've lost. Material things can be replaced in time, however unfortunately, any sentimental items are gone forever and the only thing that can even remotely begin to repair that loss, is the outpouring of love and giving that a community can provide.

We are aware of the fact that we are still smack dab in the middle of a global pandemic, however we are asking anyone with the means to do so, to help in any form of contribution that you can. Your generosity will be forever appreciated and cherished more than you know.

For those of you who may not be able to donate by way of financial means, but have other forms of donations (ie: clothing, furniture, meals, etc) please reach out to the email provided and we’ll be sure to provide you with more information in that regard.

Thank you so much for taking the time out of your day to offer words of encouragement and hope, or any sort of donation towards this tragic loss. The amount of love and support a community provides is priceless so thank you for being apart of that.

What the last year has taught us is that amongst the chaos, fear, and confusion there is hope in LOVE, may we all cherish what we have and continue to support our friends and family during what seems to feel like unbearable times.
