Susan has always been a beacon of positivity and kindness in my life. She’s the type of person who would give you the last shirt off her back, and it’s heartbreaking to see her facing so many challenges. Her journey has been filled with hardship, starting with the devastating flood in 2007 that took her home and everything she owned. Just as she was rebuilding, a garage fire in 2014 caused more damage, taking both her cars and everything in the garage.
Since then, Susan’s struggles have only grown. The COVID pandemic brought layoffs, and she suffered a life-threatening pulmonary embolism and blood clots in her legs. Her health continued to decline with gallbladder issues, constant migraines, dizziness, and exhaustion. Despite multiple doctor visits and tests, answers remain elusive. She’s had to rely on others for transportation and started vestibular physical therapy, but the pain and fatigue persist. Susan is currently on FMLA, but she stands to lose her job, and the medical and personal bills are piling up.
I’m starting this fundraiser to help Susan cover her medical bills and living expenses while she tries to recover and get back on her feet. She deserves so much more than the struggle she’s endured. If you’re able to help, your support would mean the world to Susan and to everyone who cares about her.
