First, we want to say thank you to everyone who helped us during our recent emergency. Because of your generosity, Susan was able to get her car back! Everyone's support truly changed our family’s immediate situation. We are deeply grateful to every person who donated, shared, and showed up for us.

Some of you may be wondering why I, (Daisy) have decided to leave the Gofundme up and running. The reason being, while the car repossession was the moment that brought many people to our fundraiser, it was only one piece of a much larger situation our family is still trying to recover from.

Susan is continuing the process of separating from an abusive marriage and working to rebuild stability for herself and her children. Right now, the biggest barrier in front of us is access to legal representation. The cost of attorneys and court-related fees makes it nearly impossible for our family to move forward safely and effectively.

Susan and both her adult children continue to work, and we are doing everything we can to stay afloat; however between basic living expenses and caring for the kids, there is simply no room left to cover legal fees on our own.

We do not expect the community to rally in the same way they did during the car emergency. We are incredibly aware of how much support has already been given. We are keeping this fundraiser live only in the hope that, if anyone still feels moved to help or share, it may give our family a small but meaningful chance to continue moving forward.

Every dollar raised from this point on will go directly toward legal and separation-related costs and to support Susan and her young children as they navigate an intense and vulnerable transition.

This morning, our family experienced a crisis we never expected to face — my mom, Susan, had her car repossessed. Susan is a single mother caring for four children and is currently navigating a difficult separation. Right now, a safe and reliable vehicle is not a luxury for our family — it is a necessity. We live in the 78732 area, where there is no easily accessible public transportation. Without a car, Susan cannot reliably get her children to school, attend medical and counseling appointments, or get to work. Losing this vehicle puts our entire family’s stability at risk.

We are asking our community for help to cover the remaining balance and urgent repossession fees. This would allow Susan to regain transportation and keep her family moving forward during an incredibly fragile time. Susan has always worked hard to provide for her children and to create a safe, steady home for them. Right now, she simply needs support to get through this emergency and prevent an already difficult situation from becoming devastating.
