Hi, my name is Joan, and I’m organizing this GoFundMe on behalf of my friend Susan Jones.

Susan recently became the victim of a devastating scam that emptied her retirement account. In a matter of moments, the savings she depended on for security in her later years were gone. What she has left is a small monthly Social Security payment, which is not enough to cover rent where she lives or maintain reliable transportation.

At nearly 81 years old, Susan now finds herself facing the unimaginable—housing insecurity and the loss of independence—through no fault of her own.
