Help Susan & Kenny Rebuild After Devastating Fire
Donation protected
We have all heard the adage "When it rains, it pours" but seldom do we encounter a situation as relentless as the one Susan Del Conte and her husband Kenny, are currently facing.
Susan, a valued member of the Lund and DCF Family Services community for the past year, is a beacon of positivity, kindness, and selflessness. She moved to Vermont just a year ago and since then, she has faced unexpected and undesired challenges.
Shortly after she began her current position, she was involved in a significant car accident, sidelining her from the workplace, her second home, where she thrives in helping and uplifting others. The recovery process was long, but Susan battled through, returning to work. However, as she was regaining her strength and normalcy, she contracted Covid-19, further challenging her resolve and forcing her back into recuperation.
Just when it seemed the storm was finally passing, disaster struck again this past Thursday night, May 18th. A fire, started by a faulty washing machine, consumed Susan and Kenny's home, leaving nothing but ashes. Susan and Kenny, and their two beloved dogs managed to escape the inferno. Yet, their cat remains missing, adding another layer of anxiety to an already overwhelming situation.
Susan is a woman who spends every day committed to the support and upliftment of others. Her radiant personality, her optimism, and her eagerness to give back, even when she herself has been through so much, is a testament to her fortitude and her love for her community.
It is during these testing times that we, as a community, need to rally around and give back to those who have given us so much. Susan's home may have been lost, but her spirit remains unbroken. However, she can't rebuild her life alone – she needs our help.
We are launching this GoFundMe to support Susan and Kenny as they face this enormous challenge. The funds raised will aid them in rebuilding their home, replacing essential items, and providing meals.
Please consider donating – any amount helps. If you are unable to donate, sharing this campaign within your networks would also be a massive help, as well as other non-monetary direct support you can offer. Thank you for your time, your support, and your generosity. Together, we can help Susan and Kenny rebuild, one brick at a time.
