7 weeks ago, Susan Keen got sick and was unable to breathe. At first, she was treated at home. She was in the ICU at Kona Hospital for 10 days and relapsed within 12 hours of being released. She was then treated at home for 3 weeks but was getting worse, so her doctor had her go to the ER at North Hawaii Hospital. She was put in the ICU there for 3 days and then Life flighted to Queens Hospital in Honolulu.

She was put in the ICU for 4 nights and a total time of 6 days. They found several underlying issues that have been making her so sick. She was sent home to Kona to continue healing at home for a few weeks.

She has been unable to work very much at all, and Larry has been caring for her so has also not been able to work much. And now with the added costs of all this medical expense, it is very stressful, and that will not help her heal.
