Help Susan Harveys family cover Funeral Expenses
Susan Harvey was a devoted mother to two daughters, Gillian Harvey and Mallory Murray, as well as a beloved fiancé and partner to James Cameron. She was a kind and giving person who not only raised her two daughters, but also helped care and provide housing for James children, and her nephew.
She was 54 years old, and she unexpectedly passed away at Charlton Memorial Hospital in Fall River on August 22nd. She will be cremated with a service and ceremony to be held at St. Thomas Moore in Somerset at a date to be determined.
We do not currently have any more information regarding the date and time but this post will be updated as soon as that is available. We are hoping within the next week.
Susan's unexpected passing has created substantial financial hardship for her family; with the cremation, service, and autopsy, it will run the family about $12,000, so we are asking for any assistance you might be able to give to help defray the costs. While we will of course be contributing as much as we can ourselves, the cost is substantial. Any amount is deeply appreciated from all of us. If we end up with any excess money, it will be donated to the American Diabetes Association.
We are including some brief statements/recollections from the people she loved, as a memorial. This is not complete, and if you would like to add something, feel free to contact us and it will be included.
James Cameron: "She was a kind, hardworking woman and I am glad I was able to spend the past 20 years of our lives together. She was also probably the most disorganized woman in life I've known, but in matters of the heart, she had everything right where it was supposed to be."
Gil Harvey: "She was the best mom and my best friend. She had the warmest heart out of anyone I know. Rest in Peace mama, life will never be the same without you. Say hi to Nanny, Poppop & my Daddy up there. I love you forever."
Shane Cameron: "You will be forever missed. You took me in when I was 5 years old. You will forever be my mother and I love you soo much for that. You were my teacher, my mentor; you were there for everyone. I'm going to miss seeing you everyday. I'm going to miss all the jokes and laughs. I've never seen my dad so happy as he was in the 20 years that you were in our lives. My dad will always love you! You were his heart, his best friend. I just cant believe you're gone mom! I will take all the advice and everything you taught me and make you proud. I love you mom."
Mallory Murray: "I lost my best friend, my mom, my rock. She was by far the strongest person I knew and had the kindest heart. There are no words to express the hole her loss has left in my life. She was my go to for everything. She was never judgmental and always knew how to brighten my day. The world is a lot darker now without her light."
