BACKGROUND: Susan is a loving, caring person who has been stuck in the cycle of homeless services for over 8 years, occasionally securing temporary housing but never a stable place to live. She lost her daughter to domestic violence last summer, and she is now facing a diagnosis of cancer in both her liver and uterus. On top of everything, she is also being forced out of her friend's apartment.

Susan doesn't want to die on the street or in a shelter. She wants to have a place of her own and visit family with the time she has left on this earth. She is asking for help purchasing a camper van: something she can't do without a strong show of support from the community.
