Hello family and friends,

Some of you know my mom Susan. She has always had such a big heart and I know many of my friends remember my mom as this fiery force to be reckon with that was always there to help anyone and would give you the shirt off her back. My mom has been battling multiple myeloma for the past 3 years. Then late 2023 she had her first stroke most likely caused by medications she was taking for cancer treatment. Early 2024 she has her 2nd stroke and that was the one that put her into early onset dementia caused by TBI from the strokes. My mom lost her healthcare coverage later in 2024 and was not receiving the medical care she needed and unbeknownst to me denied Part B coverage with Medicare. She was hospitalized on Saturday August 16th. She underwent many test which revealed the multiple myeloma had come back but it had gone unchecked and attacked her lymphatic system and her kidneys. She currently is needing ongoing dialysis 3x's a week and will start cancer treatment next week. She is currently in a skilled nursing facility until further notice. I have started this GoFundMe because it looks like I will be solely be responsible for my mothers healthcare needs until we can get coverage from Medicare Part B in early 2026.
