Hello! My name is Christina and I am hoping to help my aunt & uncle - Susan & Phil Golden. They are fighting the fight of their lives. Susan was recently diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer.
As an otherwise healthy, non-smoking woman in her 50's, this was a horrible shock to Susan & Phil as it was to the rest of their family. Susan is beginning treatments at Cancer Treatment Centers of America in Atlanta which is several hours from their home in AL. Susan has been unable to work for 5 weeks now & bills are mounting. Phil has also been unable to work to take her to & be with her in Atlanta.
The latest news today is that Susan's chemo pills will cost $7,000 a MONTH. This is the portion they are responsible for after "approval" from her insurance company. This is an overwhelming number to anyone I know.
If you can help them - believe me ANY amount can help - it would be so very appreciated by them & their family who love them. This money will be withdrawn by Susan & Phil & will go for their travel expenses back & forth to Atlanta, hotel rooms, food, etc. as well as her treatment & bills.
