From the moment Susan joined our team, we knew she is meant to be part of our family. From day one she is a blast of energy always willing to jump in and help anyone and everyone with the absolute biggest smile on her face, and to say that Susan is a ‘hard worker’ would be beyond an understatement.
After getting to know Susan, we quickly learned that this woman, who exudes positivity, had surprisingly been through more in the past three years than most people go through in a lifetime.
She had gone through chemotherapy and radiation for thyroid cancer
She went through a divorce
After finding a fresh start and wanting to continue on with her family, had to go through fertility treatment only to lose the baby at 7 months.
One of her other children had appendicitis, had his appendix removed, and also lost his nail in a softball incident
Her car was stolen
And now, within the past month, after finding out she was pregnant again, has discovered that she has uterine cancer and had to suffer through the loose of having to let go of a second baby because she again has to go through chemotherapy and radiation, and ultimately will need a hysterectomy.
Through all of this most people would shut the world out, but Susan has never once stopped reaching her hand out to help others, asking how everyone else is feeling, wanting to make sure that all those around her are taken care of, her 3 children most of all. The biggest testament to her unselfishness, we had to convince her to accept our help in setting up this page for her.
We hope that this page will be a beacon to draw back some of the positivity that Susan has already put out into this world. Any donations will go towards Susan’s medical bills and any costs associated with treatments. Every dollar counts! Anything you can give, from the very bottom of our hearts, is truly appreciated.
