Help Survivors of Severe Car Collision

Hello my name is Andrew Perez, and I am fundraising on behalf of my Aunt Elia and Uncle Fredy García. On the evening of April 29th, my aunt and uncle were headed home from church when an intoxicated driver ran a red light and crashed into their vehicle at the intersection of Beltway 8 and Business U.S. Hwy 90 / Beaumont Highway. The driver was going well over 100 miles per hour, causing severe injuries to my aunt and uncle. They were urgently transported to the Memorial Hermann Hospital at the Texas Medical Center.

My aunt suffered several broken bones throughout her body plus internal bleeding that had to be operated on. They found her small intestine damaged, of which she lost 75% of, and she had to stay in intensive care for several weeks. My uncle, who has been fighting cancer for 2 years, also suffered several broken bones in his neck, chest, and spine and was hospitalized for several days.

The crash was so intense that it left their truck completely destroyed leaving them without any means of transportation to attend medical appointments or tend to their daily responsibilities. Meanwhile, the driver who hit them showed no remorse and even attempted to flee the scene, but was thankfully detained by an off-duty police officer who was impacted in the same car collision.

Please consider helping my aunt and uncle with their cost of living and medical bills. Due to my uncle’s injuries and loss of vehicle, he has not been able to return to work and has no other way of earning an income. Any help to this cause is welcome and appreciated. Hola mi nombre es Andrew Perez, estoy recaudando fondos para mis tíos Fredy y Elia García, quienes en la noche del 29 de abril estaban regresando de la iglesia a casa, cuando un conductor intoxicado se pasó el semáforo en rojo a más de 100 millas por hora, impactando a mis tíos en la intersección del Beltway 8 y el Business U.S. Hwy 90 / Beaumont Highway causándoles heridas severas. Mis tíos fueron transportados urgentemente al Hospital Memorial Herman en el Centro Médico de Texas.

Mi tía sufrió quebraduras en su cuerpo, mas una hemorragia interna que tuvo que ser intervenida quirúrgicamente donde encontraron dañado su intestino delgado, del cual perdió el 75% de este, y tuvo que permanecer varias semanas en intensivo.

Mi tio, quien durante 2 años a estado luchando contra un cancer, también recibió fracturas en el cuello, tórax y espina dorsal, estuvo hospitalizado por varios días también.

El choque fue tan intenso que su camioneta quedó completamente destruida, mientras que el conductor que les pegó no mostró remordimientos e incluso quiso huir de la escena, donde fue detenido por un policía que estaba fuera de servicio y que fue impactado en el mismo accidente vehicular.

Considere ayudar a mis tíos, porque ellos se quedaron sin transporte para acudir a sus citas, además necesitan pagar los costos médicos y facturas de vivienda, ya que mi tío no puede regresar a trabajar.
