Help Survivors Attend Trial for Healing

My name is Margaret and I am a survivor of Institutionalized Child Abuse that occurred during my time at The Family Foundation School in Hancock, New York. One of the staff members from that program is currently on trial for crimes they committed against children.

Someone in our group of survivors mentioned utilizing crowdfunding to assist in expenses during what is estimated to be a 3 week trial. Three weeks is a long time for anyone to travel and it hurt my heart that something like finances would prevent any of us from missing witnessing the justice we have waited 20 years to see.

After speaking with a few students who wanted to attend the trial to get some closure in their healing journey, but they just couldn’t financially afford to, I figured that I would try to make that load easier. This campaign would cover travel expenses for those that want to be there but can’t due to financial constraints.
