Help Surviving Cancer Patient Catrina Buy A Tiny Home
I'm so blessed to be survivng cancer patient for the second time in my life. At 1 1/2 years old, I was diagnosed with cancer. Great doctors at St. Jude Research Hospital found a plan to help me through chemotherapy, 4000 dosages of radiation and surgery. I was cured for 33 years before being diagnosed with Leiyomyosarcoma Cancer, stage 4 in November 2017. I went through excruciating aches, pain, shortness of breath, and a life-threatening experience.
On January 2018, I had a near-death experience. After being admitted in the hospital, I woke up with 5 doctors standing over me informing me that I could die. I stood firm on my faith and trust in God and allowed the doctors to do emergency surgery. I went through another journey of chemotherapy, radiation, and scary surgery as an adult. My mother has been my primary care-taker and nurse over the last year and a half. I had to let go of my apartment and the main business (Residential and Commercial Janitorial Company) of 10 years. I have been fighting to get my health back to 100% since 2017.
Right when I thought my health was starting to restore, I had to get Brain Surgery in January 2019. In April, my husband and I separated and working on getting a divorce so it is only me that is working on my home project. As of July 2019, I am still going through chemotherapy because my oncologist stated that the treatments will not cure cancer I have but it can keep me comfortable as long as I am on this earth.
That doesn't stop me from dreaming and going for my dreams while I am still alive. I'm grateful so far to have accomplished some huge goals such as being a successful business owner for over 10 years. I have helped over 300 individuals become entrepreneurs. I have traveled to multiple places but have a bucket list of destinations. Right now, I am committed to owning my own home before I leave this earth. I did have a dream of owning a huge 5 bedroom home and having a large family however, my dreams have changed. Within the last year, I chose to have a complete hysterectomy because I didn't want any more tumors growing in that area anymore. Therefore, I can't have my own biological children but I can always adopt in the future.
Right now, my mission is to buy my own tiny home. It is very important to me to have my own privacy, grow my own foods, and other great benefits owning a home. I'm humble enough to live in a tiny, more affordable home that I can call my own. As you know, going through this chemotherapy journey limits me to go back to work. I'm a special person. I am on a limited source of income due to my disabilty but I still believe in saving money towards my dreams. I wrote a book about my cancer journey and I have been able to start a small business offering essential products and services but my energy limits how much work I can do. I don't want to stress myself trying to work hard to get the money to buy my tiny home. We all know that stress kills.
I am humbling myself to ask you to help me purchase my home verses me getting an expensive loan from the bank. God has led you to my fundraiser page to bless me. I pray that you can be apart of my journey and help me accomplish one of the biggest dreams of my life before I leave this earth. Will you share my Gofundme on your social media?
Any amount that you donate will be so appreciated. I don't care about the hundred thousand dollar homes anymore. Let God's will be done in my life. I just want to own a nice, cozy home that I can call my own and live peaceably. Thank you in advance for your donation and may God bless you exceedingly for being apart of this huge accomplishment. Be sure to follow my journey as I work on my journey to have my own. If you have any connections, ideas on tiny homes, I would love to hear them. =)
Your donations will go towards construction, tools, land, taxes, and other expenses to make my tiny home feel like it was made perfectly for me.
Strategically, God showed me how it will only take 200 people to donate $100 or 400 people donate $50 or 600 people donate $33 or 1000 people donate $20. Will you help share my story? Hallelujah, God is doing something.
