3-year old Ukrainian boy needing urgent surgery

I'm starting this page to try to help the Ukrainian family who will be staying with me, Nadia and her son Vladimir, age 3.
Vladimir became unwell while still in Ukraine and was in hospital for a few days. They managed to cross into Poland in early April. While there, Vladimir had to be go into hospital once again and received surgery for hydronephrosis.
During the journey to the UK, Vladimir became unwell and had to be admitted to ICU in Cologne, Germany, where he underwent a second procedure due to blood clots in his urinary tract. He has an ectopic ureter and apparently the procedure carried out in Poland only made things worse, and another surgery is required. Vladimir has just been stepped down to a general ward after 2 weeks in intensive care.
They are not entitled to free medical care in Germany, and this complex procedure has been quoted at 7000 EUR (approx. £6000). There’s an organisation which will support 90% of the cost. Anything you can offer - no matter how small - to help cover the remaining cost is greatly appreciated and will go directly to the family to help them in this terrible time.
