What happens when you rehome a pup with a broken leg whose owner couldn't keep him anymore?... Pet Insurance calls that a pre-existing condition and does not support the new fur-parent.

 

My brother, Adam, rehomed Zuko in June of this year, and he was told there might be something wrong with his leg. When Adam took Zuko home and arranged vet visits, it was even thought to be a sprain. After x-rays, and an emergency visit, my brother was told Zuko needed to have surgery as he had two- fractures in the growth plate of his hind right-knee. 1 surgery later, Zuko's pins are showing an issue and he needs to have them removed for another surgery. As Zuko is still under a year old, the expenses are high to set him up for a healthy life, and ensure he isn't in pain.
