Hi my name is Iridian, and I’m Zayden’s mom. I am reaching out today to ask for prayers & support for Zaydens upcoming open heart surgery on 09/16/25 (which is exactly 3 weeks away) here’s a little bit about zayden for the ones that are new here ⤵️

Zayden is my first born son & was born with a rare missing chromosome that has led to several health challenges, including tetralogy of Fallot with pulmonary stenosis (a serious congenital heart defect), epilepsy (a condition that causes seizures due to abnormal activity in the brain), and microcephaly (a condition where a child’s head and brain are smaller than expected, affecting development).

Despite these diagnoses, he continues to smile, love, and bring joy to everyone around him.

At just 3 months old, Zayden had his first open-heart surgery due to “tet spells” caused by his heart defect. After surgery, he remained in the ICU for 10 long months because of fluid continuously accumulating in his chest. To this day, his surgeon is unsure why his body struggled to heal.

at this stage of his journey, he needs another open-heart surgery to receive an artificial valve replacement. We hope since now that he is older, healthier & stronger, we expect for him to recover as planned

This surgery is crucial because his pulmonary valve is so narrow that his right ventricle has become enlarged. While this operation won’t change his developmental challenges, it is necessary for his physical health and will give his heart the strength it needs to keep going.

Doctors expect that Zayden will likely need another valve replacement in about approx. 10 years. but right now, our focus is on helping him get through this upcoming surgery safely and giving his body the best chance to grow and thrive.
