Dear family, friends and our community,

On May 5th, 2023, Zakk Gurchin at the age of thirty-two was diagnosed with stage three rectal cancer. After many rounds of radiation, chemotherapy and two major surgeries he finished his treatment plan on April 30th, 2024. This summer Zakk, his wife McKenna and their two children Bennett (6) and Scotlynn (3) thought he had beat his cancer, their lives would return back to normal and they were finally able to catch their breath and attempt to close that chapter.

On August 28th, 2024, Zakk went to Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital emergency room for a simple kidney stone and left with the news that his cancer may have come back.

On September 10th, 2024, Zakk and McKenna got the confirmation from his medical team from London Heath Sciences Centre that his cancer had come back and he was then diagnosed with stage four lung cancer, stage four liver cancer and stage four bone cancer in his shoulder blade. With this news, we are raising money to help off set the costs for Zakk and McKenna that they are going to face with any experimental medications/treatments, travel, leave of absences from work, child care for their children and any other costs that are going to accumulate with this journey.

Zakk is a one in a million person and he has a tough battle a head, but with your help we can ease the financial stress.
