On September 12th, 2022 my dad was sent to the hospital for having an unexpected seizure. After many MRIs, CT Scans, and weeks of hospital visits driving back and forth from Murrieta to San Diego my dad was diagnosed with a Brain Tumor. On October 31st my dad had brain surgery and has been in recovery for the past two weeks where he has had two additional procedures after having an infection. We are waiting for him to be stable before being able to go to physical therapy and then start chemo and radiation.

My dad is a veteran, a brilliant engineer, a loving husband, father, brother, and an uncle. He also was my mother's primary caretaker, who is scheduled to have hip replacement surgery in a few weeks. My mother utilizes a wheelchair and support for many of the daily tasks we take for granted. As well as needing medical assistance as she has had to fight infections as we wait for her surgery date.

I'm asking for support to support my mom's current medical needs as my dad is still in the hospital recovering. We are looking to get additional home health support for my mother to not only make sure she is as healthy as can be but to support the health of all our family members who have been supporting my mother and father around the clock. We are blessed with a supportive family who has been working overtime to support my father, mother, and brother, but the lack of resources has led us to spread thin and be overwhelmed.

$1,000 would keep us afloat for this week, but more support will be needed.
