On Friday, August 8th, 2025, a life-changing tragedy struck when a beloved son, friend, and hardworking lineman, Yousi, was severely burned while on the job. He was immediately transported to the UNC Chapel Hill Burn Center, where doctors confirmed he had suffered second and third-degree burns on 40% of his body. By the grace of God and the incredible medical team, Yousi is expected to make a full recovery—but it will be a long and difficult journey.




Yousi faces months in the hospital undergoing multiple surgeries, skin grafts, and strenuous rehabilitation before he’ll be able to return to daily life. As many of you know, linemen are the unsung heroes who put their lives on the line every day to keep our homes and communities powered. Yousi has always worked selflessly and bravely, and now he and his family need our support more than ever. At this time, his family is by his side at the hospital. The road ahead will bring medical expenses, travel costs, time away from work, and countless unforeseen challenges. But with help from the community we hope to help ease this burden and allow the family and loved ones to focus solely on Yousi healing.
