Lilly, aka Marveliscious is proudly representing her Niagara community on Team Canada at the Junior Roller Derby World Cup in Brisbane, Australia in July 2025 and needs your help!
Roller Derby is a great sport with an amazing, supportive and inclusive community. However, it's all volunteer run and therefore these national athletes are required to cover their own costs for travel to the World Cup, uniforms and practices in various parts of Canada leading up to the main event.
Any amount is greatly appreciated.
After watching the movie Whip It, and putting on her first pair of roller skates, Lilly's love of 8 wheels grew. She took her first Learn to Skate class and her mission to make Team Canada began. 3 years later, she flew to Chilliwack, BC for the final tryouts of Team Canada. While at a Julien Baker concert, she got the great news that her hard work had paid off...and she'd be Australia bound.
She continues to train hard as her competition will be other players of all genders, from Belgium, France, USA, Great Britain, and Australia...all ready to leave it all on the track. She's prepared for the bruises and excited for the memories.
The JRDA World Cup will be live streamed in July and we will share the link closer to the date.
Thank you so much for your time!
