Help support Yolande’s family during treatment
Donation protected
Hello everyone! We are Tessa and Safua Talolua, the sisters of Yolande Talolua.
We have setup this fundraiser to support Yolande, her loving husband Fatai and their two beautiful children (age 7 & 5) as they endure the journey of Chemotherapy as Yolande was diagnosed with a brain tumour (Oligodendroglioma) at only 27 years old.
She was diagnosed on March 17th 2020 after having multiple unrecognisable seizures.
Radiotherapy commenced October 29th and was finalised December 8, 2020.
Yolande is currently receiving chemotherapy from the 5th January 2021.
Because of where the tumour is located, it is unable to be removed without affecting other parts of her brain and will sadly be something she will endure for the rest of her life.
We have struggled to watch the stress, hurt and separation this illness is inflicting on this young family, especially their 2 small children.
She is and has always been the most giving person. She is a wonderful partner, mother, daughter, Aunty and Friend.
She is an absolute blessing to have as our sister which is why we are calling for support from our community near and far.
We would like to provide Yolande and her family with some much deserved comfort easing financial stresses, and allowing them to spend more quality time together as a family and focus on recovery with ease.
She is not the first with this type of illness, she will not be the last.
This may be the worst tragedy you’ve heard of, or the least urgent.
Regardless, there is a family needing our support and small children who are watching their mummy hoping everyday that she gets just a little bit better.
Please help support Yolande and her family during this difficult time. All funds raised will assist the family in medical, travel and hospital fees as well as general living expenses.
